When I had the opportunity to visit Paris for a few days, I decided to take a day to visit Disneyland Paris Resort. My friends and I headed out of town – in the snow – to the small town of Marne-la-Vallée, about 30 minutes outside of Paris, to visit the most popular theme park in all of Europe.
Disneyland Paris Resort is made up of two different Disney theme parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. While each park has tons of entertainment and attractions, if you only have one day and are pressed for time, you have to experience the highlights.
Here are some of my must-dos for you when visiting each park:
Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain
My favorite ride in the entire Disneyland Paris Resort is their show Space Mountain. While you can draw similarities to other Space Mountains, this one is completely different.
The coaster got a massive Star Wars-themed makeover, transforming into Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain.
This indoor and outdoor steel roller coaster takes you on a high-speed ride across the universe, filled with special effects, twists, turns, drops, and an almost immediate desire to return.
Phantom Manor
Set on a hill in the Borderlands, Phantom Manor is my next must-see. Phantom Manor puts a dark twist on another classic Disney attraction, the Haunted Mansion.
While Phantom Ranch incorporates the classic settings we know and love from the original ride, Phantom Ranch follows a unique storyline set in the Wild West and features compelling features not found elsewhere. Scenes.
As a Disney fan, I couldn’t help but compare and find myself more fascinated by the attraction’s 999 terrifying ghouls and special effects than any other park. In my opinion, this is probably the scariest version of the Haunted Mansion, which makes it a definite must-do – but don’t worry, Haunted Manor is still a family-friendly attraction.
Alice’s Wonderful Maze
Although the weather is a bit chilly, Alice’s Curious Maze is an outdoor experience not to be missed.
Guests can wander the fantasy garden maze in search of classic creatures and follow in Alice’s footsteps as she explores the Queen of Hearts Castle, home to the beauty of Fantasyland.
This whimsical maze is not only fun-filled and family-friendly, but it also offers some fun photo opportunities, just like in “Alice in Wonderland.”
Walt Disney Studios—Crush Roller Coaster
Crush’s Coaster is my #1 must-do at Walt Disney Studios Park and one of my all-time favorite Disney attractions.
Guests hop onto a turtle’s shell and follow everyone’s favorite sea turtle, Crush from Finding Nemo, on a thrilling adventure in a vast blue world. It’s hard to find an attraction that makes people laugh, but this spinning coaster does just that.
Although there are usually long lines for this attraction, it’s not to be missed.
Ratatouille: Adventure
Indulge in a feast for the senses in Ratatouille: The Adventure. This spectacular 4D attraction “shrunk” visitors down to Remy’s size and takes them on an exciting and sometimes dangerous adventure in the kitchen before escaping to safety.
Ratatouille: An Adventure is an immersive attraction that you can only truly experience through the magic and imagination of Disney. The technology is extraordinary and impressive. This attraction is great for the whole family and is so popular that I recommend using the Disneyland Paris FastPass service.
